Nov 21, 2008 - The USA played as a team; Brazil played as individuals. It was basically an even game. The USA stopped the Brazilian offense with a wonderfully organized defense.Brazil shots on goal: 6. USA shots on goal 7. Brazil is a heck of a team, but the USA won fair and square.

Nov 21, 2008 - Soccer is a TEAM sport; it's not a creative, individual Samba dance. You can put a whole bunch of individually gifted BALL-HANDLERS like Marta in the field, but if they can not function as a soccer team, like the Brazilians, then a solid team (which may not have good ball-handlers), like the USA --- which has a good defense and an excellent goalie --- is going to eventually score crucial goals. Soccer is a beautiful, pure, TEAM sport. Why complain when you can't play as a good team?
