Nov 21, 2008 - i'm sure you are not a person living in sri lanka, more tamils have been killed by the LTTE than in '83, what happened in 83 was manipulated by a small amount of ppl,and no way reflects the views and actions of the sinhala ppl. over the past 20 years the sinhala ppl have shown an amazing amount of tolerance in the face of terrorist attrocities, the tigers have to and will be wiped out if there has to be any chance of peace in sri lanka, it's funny how this guy never refers to them as terrorists.

LGD3 Says:
Nov 21, 2008 - It's against the BBC guidelines to describe a person or group as being terrorists. Bombers, Islamists, militants, etc, but never terrorist. They can only use the word if they are quoting someone else. Their guidelines or on their website.

Nov 21, 2008 - I"m a Canadian and for me this is a civil war and HUMAN RIGHTS. get it through your heads. What the SL rep is saying is so foolish, spending amount and the information isn't accurate? why? he's put on the spot and not able to give proper information on his own country! The FIGHT IS HUMAN RIGHTS!. Only US might be supporting BUT WE ALL KNOW what, EVEN AMERICANS don't support their own soldiers being in war. As a CANADIAN, what the BBC interviewer atleast has done his HOMEWORK. Hats off!!!!
